My name is not on the title, can I be the permit holder?
Generally no, however there may be circumstances where the QBCC may consider. For example if the title holder had a disability that prevented them from completing the course. A PROXY may be considered. This is a matter for the QBCC and they are considered on a case by case basis.
Do I need a White Card?
This is a very good question. To apply for the permit you MAY not need a White Card. However, I advise ALL of our Owner Builder students, that they should cover themselves as they are considered the principal contactor on the site and they are responsible for all work health and safety matters on the site.
